TOGETHERHOOD
MEETING COMMUNITY NEEDS
Thanks to $18.6 million in donations from
generous community members, all Ys are
able to offer direct financial assistance to
individuals and families so they can
participate in programs and services that
enhance their health and wellbeing. Our
child care assistance scholarships allow
families to go to work knowing their
children are safe and receiving quality
care.

struggle with hunger every day.
Through partnerships with food
banks, schools and other nonprofits,
and the USDA’s Child and Adult Food
Program and Summer Food Service
Program, YMCAs serve as a partner
in helping feed Kansas’ kids.
Kansas Y programs help prevent social isolation in older
Kansas adults by allowing them to connect and engage in
meaningful activities. Small lifestyle changes such as
increasing physical activity, eating healthier and staying
active socially can help older adults live better.
